If you were to ask what Ragamonster stands for in terms of the message it portrays, it could be summed up in one simple word.
HOPE.
Why do people give up on their dreams? Their family? Their lives? They lose a positive aspect and ultimately they lose HOPE. Ragamonster is here to encourage hope.
In a world bombarded with fitting in and having the proper image, it is all too easy to become cynical and depressed. Ragamonster is a company dedicated to two things:
1. Create cool art/clothing that presents a positive message
2. Bring hope to those who need it most
To back up our message of hope & positivity, a portion of ALL Ragamonster sales is donated to a charity or help group.
Why do we use the colours and symbol we do?
It’s quite symbolic actually.
Colours:
Black outline - The colour black represents the negativity that can surround us; depression, suicide, death, lonliness, and so on.
White fill - White represents the light that is (quite literally in our monster’s case) inside all of us; a reminder that it is never too late and to never lose faith.
Multicoloured background - Using a number of different colours shows that we are all our own unique person and that this is acceptable.
Symbol (Nicknamed Raga):
Raga - Meant to bring in the originality and creative aspect of this project.
Smile - To remind us to do so even when things are rough.
Waving hand - To welcome others. Sometimes, it’s as simple as saying ‘Hello’.
As you can see, Ragamonster is much more than cool art. It is meant to be a project that inspires and reignites the feeling and security of hope, and to remind us that it is never out of reach.
THERE IS HOPE.
ALWAYS.
